Modern facilities, toilet made some weird noise, sure to keep you up at night, No Idea about facilities or room service; apparently, there should have been a QR code in the room! The staff weren't particularly helpful!

I stayed at several places in Rotorua and I enjoy the stay at Novotel Lakeside the best. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I tried a bigger room this time just to see what its like and I am very happy with the experience. The bed is very comfortable and the pillow is super soft and helps relieve all the tension built up during the weeks. I also enjoyed the room service food. The hotel is repainting the exterior so I have to keep the curtain close but the view was great. The TV is hanging on a metal hanger bolted to the wall and it gave me a "it might fall down" vibe, hopefully it is secure enough. I really like using the spa pool after driving long hours to Rotorua, too bad it is not a 24 hours pool.

Perfect location for what we came to Rotorua to participate in.

We were surprised that we had to pay for our parking as this wasn't included in the accomodation cost. It wasn't a cheap stay and we would have thought that it would have included parking. We were woken at 12.11am by room service tapping on our door. They said we had rung for milk. Actually we hadn't rung for anything. I had asked for milk at lunchtime when we arrived and after having lunch out the milk was in our fridge when we returned. Really weren't too impressed being woken up at that hour.

Regarding confirmation number 1874YE5510 (original stay from 6-May-24 to 10-May-24) at Novotel Rotorua Lakeside, Rotroua- New Zealand the original booking reference above has 4 nights on it, however on 8-May-2024 I've asked the staff member was in the reception desk at that time (short lady, Māori looking with dark hair)..to amend the booking to reflect 3 nights only as I have to check out one day earlier for an emergency travel to Auckland, and refund that night to my account as I've paid in full for the 4 nights in advance... she agreed and checked her system and said all done for you. refund will be done in the morning when you check out... next day 9-May-24 around 9:30 am the supervisor lady at that time didn't want to refund any night when I'm checking out.. claiming it's terms and conditions for Novotel and the previous day lady was wrong in saying I can have a refund as she is a new staff member.. as you can see the above booking is part of corporate rate that has multiple business across the globe with Novotel and I'm certainly not impressed with the way I was treated I've reached the max level of frustration seeing one from the staff willing to help and the other keen to charge me with whatever money she can… I’m requesting a full refund for one full night back to my account from the total charges…. I’m willing to take this dispute to the Accor group, Adjust resolve and Accor complaint page as well as our internal travel agent that handle all our corporate booking to make sure No one else from my organization book again in Novotel....
