We enjoyed our stay - Room was clean and comfy, restaurant food was lovely. Welcome card definitely a nice touch, shame attention to detail let hotel down as had both kid's staying and we were a towel short and only arrived to 1x hot chocolate sachet in our room.

The staff called Kass helped us to check in seemed very unprofessional. He didn’t know that there was a welcome drink until I asked for it. He even needed to check again. Also, when I asked about the room upgrade, he ignored. I have never experienced this in other hotels before. Every time, when I arrived, the staff was always aware of what’s in the service.

Modern facilities, toilet made some weird noise, sure to keep you up at night, No Idea about facilities or room service; apparently, there should have been a QR code in the room! The staff weren't particularly helpful!

I stayed at several places in Rotorua and I enjoy the stay at Novotel Lakeside the best. The staff are always helpful and friendly. I tried a bigger room this time just to see what its like and I am very happy with the experience. The bed is very comfortable and the pillow is super soft and helps relieve all the tension built up during the weeks. I also enjoyed the room service food. The hotel is repainting the exterior so I have to keep the curtain close but the view was great. The TV is hanging on a metal hanger bolted to the wall and it gave me a "it might fall down" vibe, hopefully it is secure enough. I really like using the spa pool after driving long hours to Rotorua, too bad it is not a 24 hours pool.

Perfect location for what we came to Rotorua to participate in.

We were surprised that we had to pay for our parking as this wasn't included in the accomodation cost. It wasn't a cheap stay and we would have thought that it would have included parking. We were woken at 12.11am by room service tapping on our door. They said we had rung for milk. Actually we hadn't rung for anything. I had asked for milk at lunchtime when we arrived and after having lunch out the milk was in our fridge when we returned. Really weren't too impressed being woken up at that hour.
